5 Days Wildlife Safari

This 5 days safari allows you to have a chance of seeing most of Africa's big five. It's an ideal
safari for those with limited budget and time, and those who simply love birds. You will start the safari by visiting Tarangire National Park which has great number of bird species,elephants and a chance of seeing lions and other predators. After Tarangire National Park, the second day you will head to Ngorongoro conservation area for a chance to see the largest un-flooded and unbroken caldera in the world. At Ngorongoro crater you may have a unique chance of seeing black rhinos and other big predators such as lions, cheetahs and leopards. After Ngorongoro tour, you will head to Serengeti National park which is the home of the largest population of wildeebeest,zebras, gazels and many more animals in Tanzania. After game drive in Tarangire national park, we will drive you back to Karatu.

Arrive in Tanzania

Arrive in Tanzania via Kilimanjaro International airport (JRO) GIBACO Safaris staff will pick you up and transfer to Arusha town where you will spend the first night at Hotel in Arusha.

day2

Tarangire national park game drive

After breakfast the driver guide will drive from the hotel to Tarangire National Park, 4 hours' drive from Arusha to Tarangire, Tarangire is the third largest National park and sanctuary for and usually has large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are interested of the park; dwarf the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, and up to six thousand elephants. Half day game drives in the park After enjoying a long leisurely game drive between herds of wild animals in Tarangire, you will game-drive en route to Lake Manyara National park and overnight at a lodge.

day3

Tarangire & Serengeti Game Drive

On this day it is best to leave the hotel as early as possible so you can see the variety of animals that are only active during the morning hours; breakfast will be packed in lunchboxes specifically for this purpose. At 6:30 AM you will set off for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and after about an hour you will already be inside the crater. Ngorongoro is one of the most famous and interesting of Tanzania's national parks because here you can find the greatest number of different animal species per square kilometer. You will have the chance to see buffalo, elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, hippopotamus and feline species such as caracals and servals. The luckiest travelers might even see a rhinoceros, an animal whose numbers are rapidly declining. By lunch time you will arrive at the lake side, where you will be offered lunchboxes, after which the safari will continue. In the evening you will be transferred back to the hotel in Arusha.

day4

Full Day Serengeti Game Drive

After breakfast begin a full day safari game drive in the Serengeti National Park. A picnic Lunch will be provided. After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in Serengeti you will continue further into the park and proceed with a game drive.

Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning game drive to see nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in early morning light in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Continue with game-drive in Crater.

WHAT TO EXPECT

After breakfast begin a safari towards Serengeti National Park. A picnic Lunch will be provided. On your way to Serengeti will stop at the Olduvai Gorge where the anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory that human life originate in Africa. After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in Serengeti you will continue further into the park and proceed with a game drive and overnight

   A habitat of a huge number of birds and nesting of pink flamingos' colonies in Lake                  Manyara and lions climbing trees and even secretive leopards. Tarangire is known for            its number of elephants, wildebeests and hippos.

  Ngorongoro Crater on world Heritage site holding a permanent population of more than        30,000 animals. As only very few of those migrate in and out of crater with its 2000 ft,             high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos,             jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species.

 The East African rift valley along the Gregory rift, that offers a spectacular viewing of the        escarpment.

 The stunning Mara River filled with Hippos and Crocodiles, cuts through this land and              hosts of the greatest spectacles nature has to offer.The great migration of the                          wildebeests and Zebras. This is where you will witness the wildebeest's migration                  crossing River Mara as seen on TV in the Discovery Channel. The Migration normally              passes through this area from Late May to early July, the herds do cross the Grumeti                River.
