The best time to see the wildebeest calving is from late January to February. Wildlife viewing
in Serengeti National Park is good throughout the year, but certain areas are better at specific times. The Dry season (from late June to October) offers the best wildlife viewing in general - with the wildebeest migration as its absolute highlight. The timing of the migration varies every year (the best chance of seeing it is during June and July) while the wildebeest calving is from late January to February.
You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Karatu town, you will meet GIBACO Safaris guide who will brief you on your upcoming safari.

After breakfast begin safari to Ngorongoro Conversation area to Ndutu area. From December to May the plains of Ndutu are populated by huge herds of wildebeest, zebra and antelope as they settle on the fertile grasslands to calve. As is expected of nature, the predators come in droves too, feasting on the vulnerable young. It's a smorgasbord of wildlife and the natural circle of life. The migration consist of around 2 million animals, is on the move all year around. You will be able to see this impressive phenomenon. Naturally it attracts a mass of predators and you may be able to see band of lioness gather for a hunt. You will return to your lodge for sumptuous lunch to gather lunch for the afternoon strength game drive and overnight.

You will have breakfast at the lodge before we embark on an early morning game drive in the park. You will continue with game route to Ngorongoro, you can expect to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species and overnight at Ngorongoro crater

Early morning game drive to see nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in early morning light in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Continue with game-drive in Crater and evening drive back to overnight at Arusha
